{"id":2,"date":"2010-06-22T01:34:37","date_gmt":"2010-06-22T01:34:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nationalsarmrace.com\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2014-11-21T15:14:30","modified_gmt":"2014-11-21T20:14:30","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.nationalsarmrace.com\/?page_id=2","title":{"rendered":"About the Blog"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<p>Welcome to nationalsarmrace.com!<\/p>\n<p>Not that the Washington Nationals necessarily needed another blog, but I couldn\u2019t resist.<\/p>\n<p>Ever since the Nats rolled into town in 2005, I\u2019ve developed an unhealthy obsession with the team, and more specifically its rotation, bullpen, farm system and player development.\u00a0 I track in a detailed fashion the pitchers (mostly the rotations) of our various farm systems and take interest in the development of pitching talent as it rises through the ranks.\u00a0 Hence the name of the blog \u201cNationals Arms Race.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I hope to have a pitching-focused blog that talks about the current Nats MLB rotation, the 40-man spotholders, prospects and who may be coming up next month or next year.\u00a0 I\u2019ll talk about pitching, the Nats major league team, throw in some some observations and some advanced stats.\u00a0 I will post random musings about the Nationals in general and hope that my close friends with whom I regularly converse about baseball will chime in and offer their 2 cents about their own favorite teams (generally, the Phillies, Yankees and Dodgers).\u00a0 I\u2019ll talk about pitchers around the majors and baseball in general here and there.<\/p>\n<p>I hope you find my writing interesting and topical.\u00a0 You can always unsubscribe I suppose <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\":-)\" src=\"..\/wp-includes\/images\/smilies\/icon_smile.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Thanks, todd<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Welcome to nationalsarmrace.com!
