Davey Martinez<\/strong>‘ moves all worked out.\u00a0 He started\u00a0Max Scherzer<\/strong>, he got 3 wipe-out innings from\u00a0Stephen Strasburg<\/strong> in relief (his first relief appearance as a pro), he got contributions from both the guys he picked to start (Kendrick<\/strong> and\u00a0Cabrera<\/strong>) and the guys he used as pinch hitters (Taylor<\/strong> and\u00a0Zimmerman<\/strong>).\u00a0 He got a homer from one of his marquee players (Turner<\/strong>) and he got the game-winning hit from his star-in-the-making (Soto<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

I can’t quite believe it.\u00a0 I was dismayed when the team went down 2-0 five minutes into the game.\u00a0 I pretty much gave up when our 2-3-4 hitters went down meekly in the 6th.<\/p>\n

Bravo to the team, bravo to fans.<\/p>\n

    Does this game supplant Werth walkoff?<\/p>\n

    We’ll post next once we see how the NLDS schedule shakes out.\u00a0 I wonder how many days rest our two big arms need?<\/p>\n
