Photo via Federal Baseball<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Hey, we&#8217;re half a week into the season, the Nats are 1-3, are already on their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.espn.com\/mlb\/story\/_\/id\/29537185\/washington-nationals-scratch-stephen-strasburg-nerve-issue-hand\">7th string starting pitcher<\/a>, havn&#8217;t had their star player play b\/c he apparently got a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/mlb\/news\/nationals-juan-soto-receives-one-negative-covid-19-test-needs-another-before-being-cleared-to-return\/\">false-positive Covi19 test<\/a>, managed to lose a game where\u00a0<strong>Corbin<\/strong> gave up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlb.com\/gameday\/yankees-vs-nationals\/2020\/07\/26\/630856#game_state=final,lock_state=final,game_tab=wrap,game=630856\">one hit through six innings<\/a> against perhaps the best team in the majors.\u00a0 Oh, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2020\/07\/27\/us\/miami-marlins-coronavirus\/index.html\">half the Marlins have tested positive<\/a> for Covid19 and the Nats just basically <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbssports.com\/mlb\/news\/majority-of-nationals-players-vote-against-traveling-to-miami-for-upcoming-series-vs-marlins-report-says\/\">voted as a team to boycott<\/a> the next trip to Miami.<\/p>\n<p>Other than that, Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?<\/p>\n<p>Lets talk Prospects instead for a bit.\u00a0 In the midst of the race to restart the season, Baseball America reported out its updated top 30 prospects for all teams.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baseballamerica.com\/stories\/washington-nationals-2020-midseason-top-30-prospects-update\/\">Nats version<\/a>.\u00a0 I&#8217;m not sure if this is or isn&#8217;t behind a paywall (I&#8217;m a BA subscriber so I don&#8217;t know but suspect it is), so here&#8217;s the overall list.<\/p>\n<p>1. Carter Kieboom, SS\/2B<br \/>\n2. Luis Garcia, SS\/2B<br \/>\n3. Jackson Rutledge, RHP<br \/>\n4. Cade Cavalli, RHP<br \/>\n5. Cole Henry, RHP<br \/>\n6. Wil Crowe, RHP<br \/>\n7. Tim Cate, LHP<br \/>\n8. Drew Mendoza, 1B<br \/>\n9. Andry Lara, RHP<br \/>\n10. Mason Denaburg, RHP<br \/>\n11. Sammy Infante, SS<br \/>\n12. Yasel Antuna, SS<br \/>\n13. Nick Banks, OF<\/p>\n<p>So, its basically the exact same top 30 published with the BA handbook in February, but inserting the 2020 draftees.\u00a0 Four of our six 2020 picks have made the top 30 list:<\/p>\n<p>4. Cade Cavalli, RHP<br \/>\n5. Cole Henry, RHP<br \/>\n11. Sammy Infante, SS<br \/>\n14. Holden Powell, RHP<\/p>\n<p>These four players push off the guys ranked 27th-30th in February, namely:<\/p>\n<p>27. Steven Fuentes, RHP<br \/>\n28. Jakson Reetz, C<br \/>\n29. Nick Raquet, LHP<br \/>\n30.
